Invisalign aligners are a type of removable brace that are virtually invisible and easy to remove for eating, drinking and cleaning your teeth. This means minimal disruption to your lifestyle and no metal brackets or wires like traditional braces.

At A&S Dental Surgeons Ltd, our dentist Dr Laura will provide a tailor made treatment plan to help achieve the smile you want.

Is Invisalign® For Me?

Invisalign can treat a wide range of concerns, including crowding, spacing, overbites and crossbites. It is suitable for many cases, although more complex orthodontic issues may sometimes be better managed with traditional fixed braces to achieve the best results.

Your dentist will carefully assess your bite and tooth position to recommend the most appropriate treatment plan to help you achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Invisalign® is a clear aligner system where each aligner gently pushes the teeth into the desired position. The aligners are virtually invisible and completely removable. This makes them a very discreet choice as you are able to remove them for eating and drinking!

After a full assessment the dentist will be able to tell you how many aligners are needed to achieve the smile you want. You will change your aligners every 1-2 weeks and have a review with your dentist every 4-6 weeks.

A little discomfort is common with any type of brace. This is usually experienced in the first few days of Invisalign treatment and every time you switch to a new aligner. This is because your teeth are moving into a new position and whenever you insert a new aligner, you are shifting your teeth just a little bit more into a new position.
Simple cases as little as 3 months, the majority of cases typically take between 6-9 months. Everyone has different needs so we tailor make a treatment plan to suit you to ensure you can achieve the results you want.
